My research focuses on the intersection of sport and community. Broadly, I am interested in how sport, recreation, and physical cultural practices are (and can be) organized and implemented to contribute to community development outcomes. Using theoretical frameworks of Institutional Theory and Social Justice, my research accomplishments and outputs can be categorized into three areas: policy implementation, social inclusion and community development, and, participatory and action-oriented methodologies in sport and exercise.
